Saturday, Oct. 8, 2022 @ 10:30 a.m. at the Tenmile Store in Tenmile, Oregon.

The hike will begin a little over one half mile up Burt Mt. Road in an Old growth BLM Douglas Fir forest before entering the upper section of Iverson Park, which was selectively logged over 70 years ago. We will follow the course of Tenmile Cree in order to contrast the difference between old growth forest to one selectively logged: then again we will contrast that to the nearby industrial logged land.

After the tour of Iverson park we will travel 1.5 miles up Coos Bay Wagon Road to visit the former Dave Busenbark Park, which was clear-cut logged by Douglas County in 2015.

What you need: Appropriate clothing and foot wear. Lunch

Contact Info: John Hunter, 541 580 0128
